While most everyone knows of or has attended Haydays (September 6-7, 2014) the snowbelt is littered with grassroots and club sponsored grass drags, vintage shows and swap meets, many of which are vital for local trail support. Some have grown to become very prominent in their own regard such as the Outlaw Grass Drags near Princeton, Minnesota. Hosted by the Rum River Trail Association, the event has become known as one of the best swap meets anywhere, especially for vintage and antique snowmobile collectors and fans. Along with the big swap and vendor display that includes factory booths from Arctic Cat and Yamaha, the other big draw is vintage snowmobile racing under the lights on Friday night. We just got back from this year’s event (with a few new projects and buggies mind you), here’s a look.

Unlike Haydays, which has become a bit of a flea market, the Outlaw swap is nearly pure snowmobile related.
