The Salt Pass Border Dash in Geneva, Idaho on February 10 was the start of the RMSHA Hillclimb season and Team Arctic started the year strong with five podiums. Todd Tupper took first in Pro Senior Mod, Carson Irmen topped his Pro 600 Stock class, and Riley Kincaid took first in Pro 600 Improved and third in Pro 700 Improved.
A little over a week later, the team had even greater success at the Simplot Hillclimb Challenge in Afton, WY. Todd Tupper hit the podium twice taking first in Pro Senior Improved and second in Pro Senior Mod and Pro Master Improved; and Brody Zollinger topped the Amateur Modified class. Riley Kincaid showed the CATALYST platform’s prowess with four podiums including two seconds in 600 Pro Stock and Pro 700 Improved, and two thirds in 600 Pro Improved and Pro 600 Modified. In Pro 600 Modified, Kameron Lindsay topped the class and also took second place in Pro 1000 Improved.
On March 1, back in Geneva, Idaho for the Salt Pass Border Dash 2, Todd Tupper took first in Pro Senior Mod, second in Pro Senior Improved and went on to be crowned Pro Senior King. Tim Maki took second in Pro Senior Stock and third in Pro Senior Mod. Riley Kincaid and Carson Irmen had strong showings on their M 600 CATALYST with Kincaid topping the podium in Pro 600 Stock and Irmen taking third place. In Pro 600 Improved, Kincaid and Irmen would go two and three, and Kincaid would round out the podium with a third place in Pro 600 Modified.
This past weekend at Kelly Canyon in Idaho, Team Arctic racked up four more podium placements as they continue to dial in their M 600s in the CATALYST platform. Todd Tupper was back on top of the box in Pro Senior Mod with Tim Maki taking third. Maki also missed the podium by less than a second in Pro Senior Stock. Riley Kincaid podiumed in two classes with a second in Pro 600 Stock and a third in 600 Pro Improved. Teammate Calvin Irmen was right behind him in fourth in 600 Pro Improved.
The Team is sitting well in the season standings with Kincaid topping the Pro 600 stock class and Irmen in third. Kincaid and Irmen also sit two and three in Pro 600 Improved and Kincaid is in third, Lindsay is fifth and Irmen brothers are seventh and eighth in Pro 600 Modified. Kincaid is also within striking distance sitting in second in Pro 700 Improved. Todd Tupper is topping the Pro Senior Modified class, sits in third in Pro Senior Improved and fifth in Pro Master Improved.
The CATALYST continues to show its versatility in all snowmobile racing venues, and the team is excited to make CATALYST a premier hillclimb platform.
