MINNEAPOLIS (August 1, 2013) – Following a banner year in American snocross racing – one which saw record and near-record attendance at each and every venue on the schedule – AMSOIL Championship Snocross, in association with the International Series of Champions (ISOC), is fired up to announce the eight-round/16-race 2013-’14 AMSOIL Championship Snocross, presented by Traxxas, season schedule.
“This past season was, quite literally, the most successful season in the history of snocross racing here in North America,” said Carl Schubitzke, ACS President/Race Director. “Mother Nature blessed us with ample amounts of snow, the racing was spectacular each and every round and fans came out in droves to witness the action.”
Three new venues on the AMSOIL Championship Snocross schedule – Deadwood (S.D.), Salamanca (N.Y.) and Traverse City (Mich.) – all proved to be overwhelming first-year successes, while the bookend events, Duluth (Minn.) and Lake Geneva (Wis.), did their part to open and close the 2012-’13 ACS season properly – and in front of massive crowds. Fargo, North Dakota drew thousands of fans from the upper Midwest states and Canada, Bessemer again represented the snowmobile-friendly Michigan’s U.P. with the series’ gnarliest track, while Twin Cities’ Canterbury Raceway again provided the forum for the season’s biggest crowd.
For 2013-‘14 all the aforementioned venues return to make up the AMSOIL Championship Snocross schedule.
