Arctic Cat racers made their way to the Gogebic Community College Ironwood XC Championship rounds of the Cor Powersports series on March 21–22. Team Arctic delivered an unprecedented 19 victories over the course of the weekend.

Starting in the Pro classes, Zach Herfindahl earned three podium finishes, including a Pro Open victory on Saturday, followed by a second-place finish in Pro Factory and a third-place finish in Pro Open on Sunday. With only one race remaining, Herfindahl sits in first place in Pro Open and third place in the Pro Factory class.

On Saturday morning, 17-year-old Trig Anderson of Warren, Minnesota, led a 1-2-3 Team Arctic podium sweep in the highly competitive Sport Stock class, with Kyle Quesenberry finishing second and Rielly Clark third. Anderson also won the Sport Improved Stock class on Saturday, while Clark claimed second place. Anderson continued his strong weekend on Sunday, leading another Team Arctic podium sweep in Sport Improved Stock, with Clark finishing second and Quesenberry third.

Team Arctic saw success across multiple classes, from first-time competitor Kynsie Diesen, who won the Pro Women’s class on Sunday, to Nick Fischer, who captured the Masters 40+ final on both days aboard his Arctic Cat race sled. William Haugen swept both days in Junior 10–13, as did Bryden Diesen in both the Expert 600 and Junior 14–17 classes. Gabrielle Hallstrom finished second in Pro Women on Saturday, and Elliot Clark earned second in Semi-Pro Improved on Sunday.

“All totaled, Arctic Cat racers at Ironwood collected 19 first-place trophies over the weekend, plus many other podium finishes,” said Team Arctic Race Manager Mike Kloety. “That’s a testament to Team Arctic’s depth, as well as the determination of the competitors and their crews, who always make us proud.”

With only one stop remaining on the Cor Powersports tour, the Pro class spotlight remains on Zach Herfindahl, who holds a 33-point lead in the Pro Open class and trails Polaris’s Marshall Busse by 20 points in the Pro Factory class.
