Earlier this summer it was announced that the New Brunswick Federation of Snowmobile Clubs will be receiving $1.8 million towards trail grooming equipment through he Canadian Federal Government’s Canadian Experiences Fund ($900,000), the Provincial Government ($300,000) to the snowmobile trail project and the NBFSC/Volunteers ($600,000).

NBFSC/FCMNB General Manager, Ross Antworth commented, “ With community club volunteers, gracious landowners, and public and private supporter the NBFSC has created New Brunswick’s vibrant winter tourism sector; snowmobiling. We applaud Canada’s new Federal Tourism Strategy that recognizes two of the strategic pillars critical to New Brunswick’s economic tourism growth; winter activities and rural resources.”

The Honourable Melanie Joly, Minister of Tourism, Official Languages and La Francophonie added, “These investments will enable communities and businesses across New Brunswick to develop tourism products and experiences to attract more tourist year-round. The province has so many incredible experiences to offer tourists, from outdoor adventure around the spectacular Bay of Fundy to world-class snowmobile trails. This will help communities reap the benefits of the global tourism boom to diversify their economies and create good jobs for middle class.”
