The Canadian Snowcross Racing Association started off the 2024 Season with the FXR Kawartha Cup presented by Royal Distributing and Polaris at the Lindsay Exhibition in Lindsay, ON. Despite an unseasonably warm season, racing went off without a hitch and the excited crowds of spectators appreciated the warm temperatures.
During Saturdays racing action the Sport 600 class saw #979 Caleb Stephenson (Ski-Doo) from Barrie, ON narrowly took the win over #574 Hailey Belanger (Ski-Doo, The Compound Muskoka) from Bracebridge, ON. #747 Zach Stein (Arctic Cat) from Muskoka, ON placed 3rd.
The Pro/Am Vet class saw the return of a number of CSRA Veteran racers in celebration of the CSRA’s 30th Anniversary.
On Saturday #909 Shawn Elmhirst (Ski-Doo) from Indian River, ON took the win in the Pro/Am Vet class.
#55 Gaby Tetreault (Ski-Doo, Tetreault) from Lacolle, Quebec was 2nd, followed by
#135 Francois Turgeon (Ski-Doo) from Rouyn Noranda, Quebec in 3rd.
In the Pro/Am Women’s class:
#574 Hailey Belanger (Ski-Doo) from Bracebridge, ON went undefeated winning booth heats and the Pro / Am Women’s Final.
#144 Shyann Gosselin (Ski-Doo) from Kapuskasing, ON was 2nd
#502 Zoe Karkoulas (Ski-Doo, Bailey Motorsports) from Oakwood, ON placed 3rd.
Saturday’s FXR Kawartha Cup Pro Class:
1st Place went to the hard charging #335 Taylor McCoy (Pro Street, Ski-Doo) from Bracebridge, ON!
#459 Jake Weir (Royal Distributing, FXR, Polaris) from Bracebridge, ON placed 2nd and,
#111 Nathan Mailloux (Ski-Doo), Ste-Sophie, QC was 3rd.
Sunday’s FXR Kawartha Cup Sport 600 class was packed full of excitement and action packed racing.
#116 Derek Gosselin (Ski-Doo) from Kapuskasing, ON placed 1st,
#839 Nathan Poirier (Arctic Cat) from Iroquois Falls, ON finished in 2nd and,
#808 Adam Barr (Ski-Doo) from Wilmot, ON was 3rd.
The Pro/Am Vet class:
#909 Shawn Elmhirst (Ski-Doo) from Indian River, ON took 1st
#985 Clinton Miller (Ski-Doo) from Rosseau, ON scored 2nd.
#55 Gaby Tetreault (Ski-Doo, Tetreault) from Lacolle, Quebec placed 3rd.
In the Pro/Am Women’s class:

Sundays FXR Kawartha Cup title; went to our 2023 Pro Champion #459 Jake Weir (Royal Distributing, FXR, Polaris) from Bracebridge, ON.

#140 Cael Firth (The Compound Muskoka, Ski-Doo) from Innisfil, ON came 3rd.
Saturdays UTV 1000Ccc Production class winner was #72 Ken Avann (Polaris) from Suttonwest, ON.
#16 Marc Blier ( Yamaha) from Kapuskasing, ON finished 2nd followed by,
#36 Greg Derkx (Honda) from Port Hope, ON in 3rd.
The UTV Production 1000cc Turbo class was dominated by #72 Ken Avann (Polaris) from Sutton West, ON.
#876 Tom Bennett (Can-Am) from Sunderland, ON was 2nd
#667 Lenny Veljacic (Can-Am) from Stayner, ON finished in 3rd.
The CSRA returns to Lindsay Exhibition February 3-4 from the Kawartha Lakes Regional Snowcross event presented by Royal Distributing & Yamaha.
